Grandstand roof ommision angers FCC councillors

FRANCISTOWN: Francistown City Council (FCC) councillors are furious at the remedial measure that was taken to complete the Francistown stadium without the grandstand roof.

The remedial measures' report states that the Grandstand roof has been omitted in order to bring the project to practical completion. It also states that the contractor was slow to meet resource constraints and resolution is reported to be feeble in that area. Work movement was also reported to be slow.

The councillors are not amused that while money has already been spent the project is to be handed over in its incomplete state. The overall progress of the stadium is currently at 89 percent and the amount certified to date is P135,397,551.56.
