PALAPYE: In a humiliating defeat, the new kid on the political block, Moiseraele 'Master' Goya has shattered Health Minister, Professor Sheila Tlou's dream of representing Palapye in Parliament. In one of the pulsating Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) primaries, Goya garnered 1,443 votes to Tlou's 961.

The youthful Isaac Maforaga trailed with 81 votes, far below the difference of 482 between Goya and Tlou.

The re-run of the primaries reflects a dramatic increase in the turnout compared to last December when Goya won with a difference of only six votes after he was elected by 433 against Tlou's 427.
