Officials have remained tight-lipped as thousands on government payroll are still to be paid their April allowances. By yesterday, over 15,000 Tirelo Sechaba participants, 3,000 student teachers studying in South Africa as well as interns under the government’s National Internship Programme (NIP) have not received their previous month’s stipend.
