Girlfriend drops charges to save children

FRANCISTOWN: A threat to kill complainant has dropped charges against her boyfriend because he is the breadwinner for her children.

The complainant, Miriam Matole, says the 28 days the boyfriend has spent in prison have been rough as her health is failing. Anthony Sibanda, 32, a Zimbabwean, is said to have threatened his girlfriend on 2 June and has been in prison since then.

Matole said that even though her boyfriend had threatened to kill her, his incarceration was no good for her and the children.
