GCC becomes theatre of BDP faction feuds

The political impasse at the Gaborone City Council where opposition councillor Ndiwaani Kenosi has moved a motion of no confidence against the mayor, Veronica Lesole of the BDP reads like the stuff of realpolitik.

Intrigue runs through the whole plot and points to politicians tired of being told what to do as though they have no minds of their own or consciences. BDP councillors have taken the Machiavellian route where they apply subterfuge to deal with their internal party divisions on the platform of the GCC.
