GBC faces closure?

Gaborone Broadcasting Corporation, the only private and non-institutional television station in the country is facing closure and liquidation. Kgale Auctioneers will auction one of the oldest television stations in the country on August 31. The auction will take place at the premises of GBC in Broadhurst Industrial.

The National Development Bank (NDB) is the plaintiff while GBC is the first defendant, with Michael David Klinck and Sanjay Goel as second and third defendants respectively. 
Assets to be auctioned include the broadcasting licence, which was recently granted to GBC by the National Broadcasting Board (NBB), transmission equipment mounted atop Kgale Hill, office furniture and video production/broadcasting equipment and two cars.
The station had been facing collapse following its poor financial performance in the last few years.
