Gabane Post Office robbed

Four men robbed the Gabane Post Office on Friday morning and went away with an amount of P60,000.

It is alleged that the suspects used guns to frighten the employees of the post office in an attempt to get the cash. One suspect assaulted one of the employees in the process. The employee was rushed to hospital and treated for minor injuries and shock.

The station commander of Mogoditshane Police Station superintendent Nkwebi Chilisa confirmed the robbery to Mmegi. He further noted that police investigations are still ongoing. A witness, who preferred anonymity, told Mmegi that the police arrived at the scene armed together with the Air Support Branch in an effort to arrest the suspects.
