The order was issued after the prosecutor in a case in which Parise Sibanda is facing charges of corruption asked the court to pospone trial to today because Maropeng could not provide exhibits. He said the exhibits were locked at G-West Police Station and the officer who has the keys was not at work yesterday.

But the magistrate said the accused person could not suffer unnecessary expenditures as a result of negligence by police officers. She said investigating officers have a tendency of delaying cases by not cooperating with the courts, hence they have to pay for it.
