FSS students raise P38,000 from sponsored walk

FRANCISTOWN: Francistown Senior Secondary School (FSS) students at the weekend made history by raising P38, 000 from a sponsored walk for their upcoming prize- giving ceremony and buying computers for the school.

The 10km sponsored walk under the theme: Self-reliance, a powerful pillar towards the realisation of an educated and informed nation, started from the school premises at Aerodrome up to the Orapa junction along the Francistown-Kasane road.

FSS teacher and organiser of the event, Mmoloki Bopa said that the event was also geared at teaching students accountability, voluntary service as well as negotiation skills.
