Former youth leader enters BDP chairmanship race

The party is going for an elective congress on July 10 and the chairmanship has attracted more interest than ever before. Among the leading figures contesting the seat to be vacated by the former Vice President, Ponatshego Kedikilwe are former ministers, Tebelelo Seretse, Ramadeluka Seretse and Member of Parliament for Tati West, Biggie Butale.
Yesterday, the 36-year-old Tshotlego confirmed his interest for the number two spot in the party, stating that his theme for the post is, ‘I am a hope of fellow democrats to 2019’.
The BDP as a party known to have ample resources has always held its primaries well in time, but this time around that was not the case. The first leg of the primaries was held last weekend, with the final leg being billed for the coming weekend. This time around, the BDP failed to shine in its primary elections.
