Malaakgosi retired from the civil service in 2003 as the district officer for Mahalapye.
He is now running his own business and labour consultancy company. At the time of his retirement, Malaakgosi had worked in the public service for 20 years.
When he joined the civil service, he started working for the Tribal Administration, the Ministry of Labour and Home Affairs and ultimately the Ministry of Local Government where he was appointed a district officer.
As a DO, he has worked in places like Maun, Masunga, Mochudi, Gantsi and Mahalapye where he retired.
