Foreign company to evaluate national lottery bids

The assistant minister of Investment, Trade Industry Moiseraele Goya has told Parliament that they were forced to engage a foreign company as adjudicators on the lottery licensing since no local company had the requisite expertise.

The company will act as transaction advisors who will evaluate the National Lottery Bids.

Goya said while it is government’s intention to have such tenders awarded to citizen-owned companies, they opted for a single sourcing tender as they wanted a company with experience in the lottery field.
