Fong-Kong airport roof blown off

A thunder storm on Thursday evening blew off the western side of the multi-million Pula Sir Seretse Khama Airport terminal, forcing the authorities to close the international arrivals area, which has since been relocated.

The airport expansion project, carried out by Chinese company Sino-Hydro  at a cost of over P500 million, remains incomplete. Government has since  terminated the tender.

 The poor workmanship at the project finally resulted in the roof on the western side of the terminal being blown off, shocking airport visitors.
