Five suspects arrested in P2m robbery

Police have arrested five suspects in connection with the robbery in which Trojan Security company lost P2 million last Friday.

The robbery occurred around 3am near Ditlhakane River in Kumakwane when two security guards driving to Gantsi were attacked by seven men armed with pistols and other weapons. No injury was reported.

The five suspects arrested in connection with the robbery appeared before Molepolole Magistrate Court yesterday.The police have indicated that they are pursuing other suspects, among them a South African national.So far, Motlhatlhobi Bagopi, Onkabetse Malope, Brutus Mokgalo, Gerald Zikhale and Meshack Kangangwane (Trojan employee) are in custody in connection with the heist. The suspects will appear in court again after 14 days.
