Five people to lose their driving licences

Five people Vincent Sefo Mbwe, Richard Fani, Bumo Masalila, Seikatego Raditsebe, and Benedict Ramokoswana Gaseitsewe are set to lose their driving licences after Gaborone Regional Magistrate Barnabas Nyamadzabo ordered that they return their licenses to the Department of Road Transport and Safety (DRTS).

The court found that the five had paid Moletlanyi Senai P2,500, P2,200, P3,000, and P2,500 respectively for him to use his position to favour them in the award of the licences by giving them false drivers test results. Senai was working as a Driver's Test Examiner at the time.

The Directorate of Corruption and Economic Crimes (DCEC) issued a statement yesterday saying that Senai accepted the bribes on different dates between September 2006 and March 2007 and he used the money for his personal gain.
