Local fitness enthusiasts are bracing themselves for a grueling one-day fitness extravaganza that will see hundreds of participants, some from neighbouring countries, flocking into the country all in the name fitness.

The event, dubbed Chyna's Fitness, Aerobathon Carnival is organised by renowned fitness programme administrators Chyna's Kata-Bo and it has been running for the past three years. It will take place at Ditshupo Hall (Fairgrounds) on October 20th.  Chyna's Kata-Bo brand manager Pako Mutizira says they want this year's event to be the biggest they have staged.  He says the event attracts between 200-300 participants.

Mutizira says while in the past the majority of participants were from Botswana, they are expecting more participants from neighbouring countries like South Africa, Lesotho and Swaziland, as they try to increase the popularity of the event in the region. He says over 100 people have already registered for this year's event and they are expecting registrations to pour in this week leading up to Saturday.
