'Fired' Bolele seeks P1m from BOCONGO

LOBATSE: Former Botswana Council of Non-Governmental Organisations (BOCONGO) executive secretary, Boitshepo Bolele, is suing her former employer for close to P1million for wrongful dismissal.

The case is before Lobatse High Court judge, Michael Leburu. Her attorney Tendai Mandikate told court that Bolele is seeking P905, 863.65 from BOCONGO, which is not willing to reinstate her to a position of executive secretary.

Bolele wants court to declare her termination of employment wrongful and unlawful. The matter arose after BOCONGO's chairperson, Pastor Biggie Butale, relieved Bolele of her duties barely two months into her three-year contract.
