LETLHAKANE: A scene of devastation greeted Letlhakane Senior Secondary School (SSS) students and teachers yesterday morning when they found the school administration burnt to ashes.

The incident comes just two months after the burning of a classroom block in the same school. Nothing was rescued as the damage had already been done when police officers managed to extinguish the fire.

Letlhakane Police Station Commander Superintendent Loeto Ramabokwa has confirmed the incident, saying the fire broke out in the wee hours of Sunday morning. No casualties were reported and it was business as usual at the school as classes were not disrupted. However, teachers were still struggling to come to terms with the impact, as they did not have study material for their students. The teachers will in the meantime operate from the multipurpose hall.
