Female soldier commits suicide

A 29-year-old female Botswana Defence Force soldier based at Glen Valley barracks allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself yesterday morning.

The soldier of the rank of Private was found hanging lifeless from her house rafters. Investigations into the matter are ongoing to establish circumstances surrounding her death.

Officer Commanding, District No. 3 Senior Superintendent, Theriso Thatayotlhe confirmed the incident in a brief interview with Mmegi Online stating that the deceased did not leave any suicide note.
