Fear grips Selebi Phikwe following murder of taximan

SELEB-PHIKWE: The taxi industry here is reeling in shock following the apparent murder of a 30-year-old taxi driver in the copper mining town last week.

The chairperson of the Selebi Phikwe Taxi Association, Bret Sanoto told Mmegi that they were now living in fear and always feeling unsafe, especially when they have to transport customers late in the evening.

He noted that being a taxi driver is a risky business as they have to deal with strangers on a daily basis.
