Fear as serial killer strikes

In a chilling development, an 85-year-old woman was found dead on Saturday morning at Marobela village near Sebina while her 50-year-old daughter is lying critically ill in Nyangabgwe Referral Hospital.

Residents of Sebina and surrounding villages claim that the same person is responsible for the spate of rapes, robberies and murders that have rocked their villages, but officer Commanding Number One District, Israel Tuelo says there is no conclusive evidence to support such claims yet.

They claim that after committing the crimes, the attacker allegedly leaves a scrawled message in the same handwriting. Tuelo said police would intensify their investigations in a concerted effort to arrest the perpetrator.
