RAMOTSWA: A family living in hell of mysterious fires that have left them impoverished, and with nothing to eat is calling for 'space'.

After a busy weekend of prayers and sermons from various church denominations, Mmegi news team visited the homestead yesterday but some members of the family were reluctant to discuss details, as they are yet to meet on how to handle the mystery. But according to some of the relatives, who preferred anonymity, the Thutlwa family has never enjoyed peace since March this year when their 31-year old daughter was attacked by a mysterious fire in Jwaneng where she was staying with her miner husband.  "It started in Jwaneng where she and her husband were attacked by this mysterious fire. They were relocated to another house but a few days later that house was also engulfed in flames and they had to be moved to a hotel room, which also caught fire," the old woman told Mmegi before the daughter arrived to stop the interview. The old woman said that their daughter, who is nursing a three-month-old baby, later moved to Ramotswa but the fires followed her.

"The fire has destroyed everything and we are left with nothing to eat, she has three children and the youngest is three months old. O santse a le motsetsi," said the old woman. So how do these fires attack?"The fire will just emerge from anywhere, it would erupt suddenly and destroy everything. Only fire engines are capable of stopping these fires. We are left with nothing," she said. The family argues that it can no longer speak to the media because they are hoping that the problem will soon be resolved, after churches came to hold prayers over the weekend as well as well-wishers flowing in to offer prayers.  "We are planning a family meeting to see how to handle this puzzle; it is so strange we are all traumatised," said the 31-year old mother of three.
