Expand Industrial Court - Mps

Members of Parliament (MP) have called on the Ministry of Labour and Home Affairs to build more Industrial Courts in the country and increase staff to deal with backlog of cases.

The lawmakers expressed concern that it takes too long to resolve trade disputes and during that time employees suffer unnecessarily.

Legislators were commenting on the ministry's budget estimates presented by Assistant Minister Gaotlhaetse Matlhabaphiri. The ministry is requesting a P15 million development budget and a P9.6million recurrent budget.
