The two had agreed to be redeployed within the company. However, they say that by March this year, Debswana told them that it had not found positions for them and terminated their contracts. A letter signed by a senior manager in the engineering department reads thus: "... a recommendation was made to retire you on medical grounds as you are not able to perform your contractual job and that the company has been unable to offer re-deployment at a lower level or similar position."
