Escalating food prices worry BB

FRANCISTOWN: Business Botswana (BB) president, Gobusamang Keebine has called on the government to intervene in a bid to ensure that prices of basic food commodities are brought under control.

Keebine was officially opening the 26th annual BB Northern Trade Fair in Francistown. This year’s event was themed 'Accelerating the rise of a digital economy'.

Many major food suppliers in the country continue to experience escalating costs of operations as a result of the fuel supply chain challenges brought by the Russia-Ukraine war.
