'Erring' Btv, radio must not go unpunished - BCP

The Botswana Congress Party (BCP) has written to the National Broadcasting Board (NBB), complaining about alleged violation of the broadcasting code of conduct for elections by Botswana Television (Btv) and Radio Botswana.

The BCP wants the board to "penalise the two broadcasters for violating the conditions of their licences".

This followed last Friday's incident when the director of Broadcasting Services, Mogomotsi Kaboeamodimo, went on air to read Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) president Ian Khama's statement.
