Emma Wareus' Chinese trip yields 200 wheelchairs

The 2011 Miss World Princess Emma Wareus' recent trip to China on a charity mission has yielded 200 wheelchairs that will be donated to the needy in the country.

The last time she was in China, Wareus was crowned the Miss World First Princess. This time she was part of a four-member team of the Botswana-China Friendship Association (BOCFA) that visited Shanghai, China from May 14-21 on a charity mission, along with the executive President of Mileage Air, Miles Nan  and Chairman Doctor  Machete. They were hosted by the Chinese People's Association For Friendship With Foreign Countries, Asia & Africa Department.

Nan says Wareus made a big impression while in China. "She sold the country profile very well, the tourism, the success story on HIV/AIDS war; at BCFA we are proud to have her as our goodwill ambassador. It was a trip to cherish and we hope future trips will be as successful as this one. This is the first successful trip the BOCFA team ever undertook to China", said an elated Nan, with a huge framed poster of Wareus  inthe 2011 Miss World pageant, decorating his equally spacious office at his Gaborone West Industrial offices.
