Electrician causes stir at DEBS depot

FRANCISTOWN: It looks like officers at the Department of Engineering and Building Services (DEBS) depot in Francistown stirred the hornet's nest when they reported Abednico Bamba, 41, for threatening to burn them to death last week.

Bamba, an electrician who works for DEBS, is said to have locked his colleagues in the office and allegedly went to buy petrol so he could 'incinerate' them.

The police were called in and after whisking off to their charge office, they realised that indeed, he was not planning to burn his colleagues. They could not find the petrol, which he was said to have gone to buy at a nearby fuel station.
