Dutch Reformed Church wrangle deepens

The Dutch Reformed Church in Mochudi is at war with itself again. Another fight has erupted in the church following the firing of their first woman priest, Revered Mmonie Kgosiemang last week.

This is not the first time that members of the Mochudi congregation have been at each other's throat.

In 2004, a section of the church, which referred to itself as the "concerned group" opposed Kgosiemang's ordination. The group insisted that the church order (constitution) does not allow the ordination of women priests. Not so, argued the church.
