DRTS refuses with corruption report

The Department of Road Transport and Safety (DRTS) is refusing to share contents of a report and findings of a commission that was appointed last year to investigate allegations of corruption in the issuing of road permits, and drivers' licences for public service vehicles (PSV).

The recently appointed director, Mmoshe Mookodi, has employed a comprehensive set of tricks in evading Mmegi enquiries about the commissions' findings.

His repertoire includes: -
* declining a face-to-face interview on January 6
* requests for questionnaires
* dodging to answer 11 questions emailed to him on January 7
* taking refuge in unending meetings.
