Drivers robbed at fake roadblock

TUTUME: Tutume police are prosecuting two men who are said to have set up their own roadblock on the Tutume-Francistown road and robbed drivers of goods and money worth more than P10, 000.

Station Commander, Stephen Kebaitse, confirmed that they had arrested the two men. He, however, was quick to point out that the two men were not in police uniforms as rumoured."They were just wearing overalls," said Kebaitse who said that the two are aged 17 and 27.

 
"It's a 27-year-old Zimbabwean and a 17-year-old Motswana. The Zimbabwean is still in jail as he is an illegal immigrant. And as for the Motswana, he is a juvenile so we are waiting on his social welfare reports," he said.
