Dr Seakgosing makes history

For the first time in the history of Botswana, a medical doctor is heading the Ministry of Health.

He is Dr John Seakgosing, who was appointed to Cabinet by President Ian Khama this week.

A Soviet trained medical practitioner,   Seakgosing is also the new Member of Parliament (MP) for Kweneng South, replacing former Youth, Sports and Culture Minister, Gladys Kokorwe who has retired.
