DPP wants Daisy Loo case expedited

The Director of Public Prosecutions Leatile Dambe has asked Gaborone Regional Magistrate Terrence Rannowane to consider having the Daisy Loo case heard earlier than April next year.

This has raised speculation that the state wants the case concluded before Vice-President Ian Khama becomes president in March.

 
Former employees of the Gaborone City Council (GCC) Frank Molaletsi (Principal Technical Assistant), Gilbert Sithole (Senior Technical Officer), Joseph Stegling (Senior Technical Assistant), Bitsang Abby (Senior Technical Officer), along with Daisy Loo and its Managing Director Moemedi Dijeng have been charged with conspiracy to defraud the GCC of over P24 million.
