Addressing Lenyaneng Kgotla on Saturday, he said he has been receiving many cases of Tlokweng residents seeking to transfer their land to the people they were selling to.He said these transfers later disadvantage Tlokweng residents, as they are left landless. "If we are not careful, Tlokweng is going to be dominated by non-Batlokwa. Many residents in Tlokweng fail to understand the importance and value of land because many of them love money so much so the decisions they make about transferring their land to people they hardly know is always because they are offered money, funny enough the money is a far cry to the amount of land they are giving away," he said.
He further encouraged the residents to rather hold on to their land so that it does not end up in the hands of non-citizens because it is Batswana who later complain."Parents please advise your children to utilise the land they have been given and not sell it," he said. Kgosi Gaborone further encouraged residents to work together in fighting crime, saying people should work cooperatively in harmony and love.
