DK dismisses Magang's 'pack of lies'

Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) chairman Daniel Kwelagobe has dismissed as a "pack of lies" allegations that former Kweneng East MP and cabinet minister, David Magang has made against him in his autobiography, The Magic of Perseverance.

Kwelagobe, who is also the Minister for Presidential Affairs and Public Administration, said he is going to ignore the allegations that Magang levelled against him.  "Why should I bother about nonsensical stuff," he said, adding that he would dismiss the insinuations with the contempt they deserved.

In his book, Magang said Kwelagobe made life difficult for him when he was a BDP politician.  "If there was one person who made life uncomfortable, it was my cousin Daniel Kwelagobe.  This he did unblushingly, with impunity and with a zealotry that was rare and which was unprecedented in the politics of my country.  That he was secretary general of the BDP made him even more audacious," he said.
