DK accuses BDP of state media bias

The Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) chairman and Member of Parliament (MP) for Molepolole South, Daniel Kwelagobe castigated certain members of the party for promoting biased news coverage at the state-owned Botswana Television (Btv).

Debating Isaac Mabiletsa's motion, which calls for the state media to be converted to a public broadcaster, Kwelagobe complained that the individuals act as referees and players at the same time.

He charged last Friday in Parliament that  Btv has in the process sidelined other MPs, including the BDP's.
