FRANCISTOWN: Some disgruntled Botswana Congress Party (BCP) members in the Francistown West constituency are threatening to take their party to court for handing over the constituency to their pact partner, the Botswana Alliance Movement (BAM) without having consulted them.

Mmegi can confirm that a section of BCP Francistown West activists, amongst them, Albert Mudanga and Rueben Ketlhoilwe have written to BCP secretary general, Taolo Lucas through Manyothwane and Partners law firm in Francistown, querying the introduction of BAM secretary general, Matlhomola Modise to the Francistown West constituency structures.

They have instructed the secretary general to consult, failing of which the concerned group would instruct lawyers to take court action within seven days upon receipt of the letter. Mudanga and Ketlhoilwe are known allies of Whyte Marobela, the BCP parliamentary hopeful and BCP secretary for economic affairs in the last general election.
