DIS officer in court for stock theft

SELEBI-PHIKWE: Directorate of Security Intelligence officer (DIS), Victor Orphus has appeared before the Selebi-Phikwe Magistrate Court to face charges of stock theft.

The DIS man together with Obokeng Ngakana and Oufase Hill are said to have stolen 11 cattle at Tobane village between March and May 2011. The stolen cattle belong to Eric Mabengano and are valued at P66,000. The accused persons pleaded not guilty to the charge.

In other changes, Ngakana and Kealeboga Mphee are said to have stolen nine cattle worth P27,000 from one Mokolobetsi Botsalano. They have pleaded not guilty. Ngakana is also charged with forgery together with Bakang Lavini.
