Dimeku wins Boikago/Madiba ward primaries

PALAPYE: Palapye Youth Centre executive project coordinator, Thabo Dimeku emerged victorious after garnering 155 votes during the Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) primary elections for the Boikago/Madiba ward held over the weekend.

Dimeku contested against Boitshoko Kinnear who got 148 votes followed by Malebogo Orapeleng with 42 votes. There were seven spoiled votes.

Orapeleng, who is not new to elections, lost again in the 2013 BDP primary elections to the late ward councillor Richie Kenosi.
