Did BDP favour Tshekedi Khama for Serowe seat?

There is growing suspicion that the Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) might have fixed the Serowe North-West primary elections to favour President Ian Khama's younger brother Tshekedi Khama.

The party has declared Tshekedi its sole candidate since nobody had shown interest in challenging him.

But contrary to BDP's assertions, it is said that there were other people interested in contesting the seat but the party decided to deploy them elsewhere to pave the way for Tshekedi.
