DCEC probes BDF-US army deal

The matter between Botswana Defence Force (BDF) and the United States of America over the latter’s used army uniform that was recently withdrawn from soldiers is now under investigation by the Directorate on Corruption and Economic Crime (DCEC).

The camouflage uniform which comprised of bags, light green T-shirts with camouflaged sleeves, goggles among other materials was a covert deal between the BDF and the US army.

Skeletons tumbled out recently after the uniform was mysteriously and abruptly withdrawn from soldiers without any explanation. Suspicion is rife that someone  deliberately balooned the actual costs of the uniform for individual gain, a suspicion that was reported to the DCEC.
