DCEC nabs alleged corrupt NEDC officer

FRANCISTOWN: Directorate on Corruption and Economic Crime (DCEC) investigators last week arrested and detained a North East District Council (NEDC) official on allegations of corruption, Mmegi has learnt.

Mmegi is reliably informed that recently DCEC operatives came and whisked away Timothy Clarence Moesi, the Local Authorities Procurement and Asset Disposal (LAPAD) secretary based in Masunga.

He was later released. Allegations have now surfaced of his involvement in unethical conduct relating to the P2 million tenders for the construction of two tribal offices at Kgari and Matenge villages within the North East District.
