Daggers drawn for Mmadinare by-election

SELEBI-PHIKWE: Political parties have descended on Mmadinare ahead of the constituency's southwest council by-election.

Last Saturday, the BDP painted the expansive village red and this weekend, it will be the turn of the opposition Botswana National Front (BNF) and the Botswana Congress Party (BCP) to officially launch their candidates.

Although the odds are staked heavily against the opposition, both the BNF and the BCP are eager to make lasting impressions in the by-election as the fight for political leverage heats up ahead of next year's general election.
