KANYE: The Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) treasurer Satar Dada has told party members, among them businessman-cum-politician-cum-philanthropist, Robert Masitara to honour the financial pledges they made two years ago.

Masitara was drafted into the BDP Central Committee as an additional member at the Molepolole congress after pledging to pay the BDP P100,000. His tenure has ended after party elections on Monday. Ahead of the elections, Masitara's name graced a long list of BDP members, mostly councillors, who have not fulfilled the financial promises made at the Molepolole meeting.

Presenting his financial report to the BDP congress over the weekend, Dada was in no smiling mood as he complained about those who owe the party.  "These pledges were made by you without any pressure," said Dada. He told those who made pledges to pay up without being pushed.
