Criminals masquerade as police officers

Criminals in Gaborone who are allegedly responsible for the spate of house break-ins that have sent shockwaves across some communities in the city lately, are said to be impersonating police officers to carry out their dodgy operations.

The criminals reportedly break into houses, only to return after a few days personating plain clothes officers investigating the break-in.

They then convince the victims to accompany them to a place they claim the stolen goods were found. On arrival, they slip away from the unsuspecting victims, only to return to the houses to take whatever they want.
