Criminals go for Phakalane street solar power batteries

Criminals are having a field day with the solar powered street lights erected along the road that connects Phakalane and Glen Valley Botswana Defence Force (BDF) camp.

So far 15 electricity saving streetlights has been vandalised with their batteries missing leaving the lights compromised. 

Broadhurst police station commander superintendent Obusitwe Lokae said they have discovered that the thieves are after solar batteries.
