Credit Crunch Throttles North- East Budget

FRANCISTOWN: The North East District Council (NEDC) is on a tight budget. This was said at the conference to discuss the DDP7 and the NDP10 held at the Francistown Civic Centre on Friday.

Giving an overview of the workshop, NEDC deputy council secretary, Florah Mpetsane, said "the district required P1,704,413,785 in order to implement all the projects".

She further stated that it is not possible to finance all the projects. She further said that the current credit crisis has worsened the situation.
