Cracks widen among phikwe bcp councillors

SELEBI-PHIKWE: Cracks among Botswana Congress Party (BCP) councillors in Phikwe were evident at a recent meeting when Councillor Leungo Mathaio of Leseding Ward filed a motion of no confidence in the mayor Godfrey Mbaiwa against the advice of fellow opposition councillors.

Prior to the voting there was heated debate on whether nominated councillors were elegible to vote. The issue was finally resolved after the council attorney explained that they too enjoyed full voting rights.
