Court to rule in child abduction case

Gaborone Regional Magistrate Lot Moroka will today hand down the sentence on the kidnapping case that involves Debswana employee, Mmabatho Sekgoma, who is accused of abducting a seven-year-old boy.

Moroka convicted Sekgoma on Wednesday after she found that the state had proven its case during the trial that had dragged on for over two years.

Moroka found that most of the state witnesses had successfully identified Sekgoma even though she did not participate in the identification parade.
