Court slams investigators for shoddy job

FRANCISTOWN: High Court Judge, Justice Tshepho Motswagole has accused officers of poorly investigating a case leading to a 38-year-old man of Tshesebe village being acquitted and discharged of murder.

The accused earned his discharge on Wednesday due to insufficient evidence by the prosecution. "There is no prima facie case," declared Justice Motswagole.

"This is one of the cases that stand out as badly investigated," he said. He dismissed and removed from the record, the evidence of the investigating officer, Sergeant Moba of Tshesebe police station.
